You really need some raw food diet recipes if you want this eating plan to work for you. Too many people think that it only involves eating fruit and vegetables and so they get bored and fail to make the switch. Or they become malnourished as they are not getting sufficient vitamins and minerals to keep their body healthy.

Raw food diet weight loss

With the Raw food Diet weight loss is probably the one side effect that most people want to benefit from. But it is not only about losing excess pounds. It is about increasing the quality of your life, improving your energy levels, your vitality and even your sex life. People who successfully follow the raw food diet recipes often report that their libido increases.

Raw food diet smoothies

On the raw food diet, smoothies are a great way to increase your intake of fruit and some vegetables. Obviously not all of these foods are suitable, only use those that can be fully liquized. To make a smoothie you need to invest in a decent blender. Always use ripe whole fruit. Sugar, colors and sometimes preservatives are often added to packaged purees. You will boost the levels of magnesium, vitamin E and potassium if you use Almond milk to form the base for these drinks. Almond milk is very easy to make at home and will freeze well. Add some ripe bananas or mango for a delicious start to your day.

You can find vegan recipes easily online as well and also raw food detox diet recipes. A detox is a great way to get started on this healthy eating plan as it gives you a chance to rid your body of toxins and start fresh. Be prepared though and don’t start on a day when you are going to be very busy. A weekend is probably best if you have the chance to relax as you will probably feel quite ill for the first couple of days. It depends on how toxic your body is but headaches and nausea are quite common. Get as much rest as possible, stick with the plan and these feelings will pass.

You will probably eat a lot of salads on this diet and that is a great way to increase the amount of antioxidants in your blood. When making salads, don’t be boring and always use the same ingredients. Now is the time to experiment. Use baby spinach and rocket to add extra nutrients. If making wraps you can use either tortilla warps or cabbage leaves. Chop up some celery, carrots and sprouted seeds. Add a little tomato and some shredded leaves of either spinach or rocket. Finally add some vinaigrette dressing – homemade or one bought from a raw food diet provider to avoid preservatives and additives. This recipe makes a very satisfying lunch.

If you follow raw food diet recipes, not only will you lose weight and get more vitality back in your life, you also remove the risk of becoming bored by eating the same old foods day in and day out.

A raw food detox is a great idea if you want to lose weight and cleanse your system. Have you been feeling sluggish recently? Are your energy levels not what they should be? Perhaps you are fed up trying every other eating plan without losing those excess pounds.

Why not try a raw food detox diet?

The raw food detox has been around for a while although it is gaining in popularity following announcements that Madonna and other famous people may be followers. The idea behind this plan is that you eat food that hasn’t been cooked. Does that mean that you are stuck eating just fruit and vegetables? They certainly will make up a large portion of your meals but they are not the only foods you are allowed to eat.

The benefits of following this plan are that you lose pounds, gain energy, sleep better and reduce stress. If you look at Alissa Cohen you will see her radiant skin, hair and eyes and she attributes all of that to the raw food diet. I would certainly suggest that you buy her recipe book or otherwise you may fail to give the detox diet plan a chance. Natalia Rose is another expert on this type of living.

So what does a raw food diet menu look like?

You could eat burgers, pizzas and enchiladas every day if you want. Yes you read that correctly. This is a diet that allows you to eat all of your favorite food albeit prepared in a slightly different way. The burger will be made from nuts and veggies. The bun will be a dehydrated form of uncooked grains and more veggies while the French fries are made from jicama. The enchiladas are made from delicious corn and flax seed tortillas wrapped around a selection of diced vegetables. Deserts and treats are also included on this plan.

So it is for everyone?

No detox diet is suitable for everyone. There are certain categories of people that should never go on a diet. But the majority of us would benefit from increasing our consumption of fruit, vegetables, seeds, nuts and grains. Not only would be lose weight, we would also reduce our risk of falling prey to heart disease.

You can also use a raw food detox diet to help cure your acne, migraines, asthma, reduce your blood pressure, decrease your stress and anxiety levels as well as help to prevent cancers, diabetes and other dangerous medical conditions. The diet will help to restore the acid alkaline balance in your body. Most sufferers of the above illnesses have unknowingly created a body that is too acidic. This can lead to headaches, arthritis, depression as well as the conditions outlined above.

Don’t forget that there will be a period of time during which you will probably feel rather ill. This usually only lasts about seven to ten days depending on how toxic your system was before you began. As our bodies release the toxins, we can suffer from headaches and nausea. It will pass.

Why not try a raw food detox diet today and see what benefits you experience in your life and those that live with you.

The raw food diet is becoming increasingly popular amongst celebrities and ordinary folk alike. People are fed up either being obese or heading that way. They lack energy and drive and feel, often correctly, that their diet is to blame. This leads them to explore other options including the raw food plan.

So what does it involve? As the name suggests, the idea behind this eating plan is to try to eat food as close to its natural form as possible. No more processed foods or ready meals just regular trips to your local farmers market to buy fruit and vegetables.

So what raw foods are you allowed to eat? You are recommended to only use organic foods and eat the usual list of fruit and vegetables. Seaweed, nuts, seeds and beans are also allowed. You can drink purified water, freshly juiced fruit or vegetables and coconut milk.

You need to be committed to this plan and it helps if you prepare before hand by investing in a good quality blender or food processor. Certain ingredients may be difficult to source depending on where you live. It is also helpful if you learn how to sprout seeds. You can expect to lose quite a bit of weight especially if you currently eat a lot of ready meals, white breads and pasta. Initially your body will go through a detoxification process and this can leave you feeling worse than before you started. But the headaches and other symptoms will pass and you should start to feel more energized as the time progresses.

So what do you get from the raw food diet?

People who have completed the raw food diet for at least thirty days usually report that in addition to losing weight, their energy levels increased once the initial seven days had passed, they slept better and their libidos improved too. Their skin also glowed with health and if they did suffer from any problems such as acne or eczema, these conditions also improved. These results are hardly surprising given the additional quantities of vitamins and mineral the followers of the raw food detox diet are consuming.

Any disadvantages to eating raw foods?

Some people suffered from a lack of vitamins. The diet may not provide sufficient quantities of calcium, iron and more commonly vitamin B12. B vitamins are essential to maintain a healthy nervous system and women in particular are most affected by a deficiency in these vitamins. You are most at risk if you try the diet without following a specific plan. People recommend following set recipes such as those contained in the Alyssa Cohen raw food diet.

Despite the list of benefits above, this diet is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, children, those with anemia and those with existing health problems. If you are very obese you may want to speak to your doctor prior to starting this diet as the weight loss may be too sudden and severe for your system. The raw food diet works wonders for some people but is not suitable for everyone.
